It’s snowing today. I haven’t seen it snowing out my window in over twenty years. Living in the tropics will do that. I felt like a little kid again sledding with my daughter down the driveway. So much fun. So much cold. So hard on these old knees, but you know what, I can’t wait to warm up enough to go outside again.
We’ve got about two inches down—that’s 5 centimeters for those of you not using stone age measurements—and it’s still coming down in beautiful, fluffy white flakes. I hope we don’t get too much more because I realized now I don’t have a snow shovel. Good thing I work out of a home office and have plenty of food on hand. And a fireplace. Now all I need is a mug of hot chocolate . . . .
I would _gladly_ send you some of our snow, if only I could! Another hum-dinger of a storm expected in NJ this weekend.
I heard NJ was expecting snow. I used to live that end of the country and I don’t miss the winters, that’s for sure. I’ll send warm thoughts your way.
It’s raining outside here. Again. Can’t remember the last time I got up and it wasn’t raining. Seriously thinking about jacking this writing malarky in and taking up Ark building.
Don’t think we’re going to get snow this year (but never say never), but as annoying as it is traffic-wise when trying to get to work, I’ll miss it. For all the reasons you say above.
Sorry to hear about the rain. That’s what we usually get. Everyone here keeps telling me this much snow is unusual (I just moved here in May, partly because it doesn’t get much snow!). Fortunately my “commute” is a short walk from my bedroom to my home office, although tomorrow I’m off to someplace warm for the day job :-). That’s assuming the planes are flying. . .
Just missed us up here in Seattle — thankfully!
We’re up to a foot (30 cm), and it’s finally stopped. I shoveled it today, and my arms are tired. . . Still, I’m enjoying it.
